Tax Preparation
Do you need to file an individual return? Is form 1040 the correct form to use? If you have a business, what form do you need to file? If you have a business, does the IRS require a separate return? On what form do you list auto expenses? How do I deduct business use of home?
These are just a few of the questions you will need to answer if you try to file your taxes yourself or if you use an online “free service”. Make a mistake with any of these questions, or hundreds of others, and you could pay too much to Uncle Sam.
I will accurately prepare all federal individual forms and schedules. I can also prepare tax returns that are required by all states (not just Virginia) and localities. A part year return for New York is no problem. A non-resident return for Colorado is no problem. A resident return for Kentucky is also no problem.
Prior year federal and state returns are also my specialty. I can prepare returns as old as 1998. If bankruptcy is in your future the judge will require you to file all back returns before granting you protection from your creditors.
Using a comprehensive interview technique and computerized return preparation process ensures that your return is complete, correct, and presented to you in a timely manner. Fees are very competitive.
